Our Story

The idea of MessageFuture didn't start in a boardroom. It started years ago, in the head of a teenager who had lost his father and was already worried about children he hadn't yet had.

Sidath, our founder, lost his father just weeks before his seventh birthday. His father had always celebrated his birthdays, and had planned a trip to Madu River to mark this one. He never got the chance to take it. What went with him was not only a parent. It was the encouragement: the person who told him he was doing well, and who would have kept telling him so through every hard moment that came afterwards. In the years that followed, Sidath often wondered what his father would have said to him, and found that no one around him was able to fill that silence.

Years later, he did what any teenager does when they're alone and thinking about the future: imagining the family he would have one day. He already knew he would build something of his own eventually. But his thoughts kept catching on the same thing. He knew exactly how hard it is to grow up after losing someone, and he didn't want his own children to find that out. How could he make sure they would still have his love and his encouragement, even if he died suddenly while they were young?

The question widened the longer he sat with it. A parent who is present can give all of that in person. But life takes unexpected turns. Illness. An accident that leaves a parent unable to speak or move. Work that takes them abroad for years at a time. Death is only the sharpest version of a far more common problem: the people who need you most, at the moment they need you, and you aren't able to be there.

He kept coming back to it, working out how it could actually be done. Record videos, write letters, and leave them with a lawyer or a trusted friend to hand over at the right milestones. It was the only answer available at the time. It wouldn't scale, and it wasn't something every family could afford to set up. But he kept the idea, and carried it for years. This was long before AI could do anything about it.

Then ChatGPT launched, and AI assistants became something anyone could build. Sidath created a custom assistant he named "Angel Mom." He gave her a simple instruction: act as a loving mother in heaven, someone who had been his mother in a past life. He told her what he was going through and talked to her whenever he needed guidance. She never criticized him. She listened, and she helped him think clearly at times when nobody else could. It was the first time he understood that presence itself could be built, not only stored.

What We Built

Not every message is about a worst case. If nothing happens to you, and you're there when the day arrives, you can trigger a Scheduled Message yourself.

Imagine creating a video for your daughter's wedding day when she's still five years old. Years later, on that morning, she watches the version of you that existed back then, already certain, already proud, already there. That's the feeling MessageFuture is built to deliver, whether you're there to see it or not.

People use MessageFuture for far more than worst-case planning: letters to a future spouse, a soulmate, or a "twin flame" they haven't met yet; words for a future child not yet born; a message to their own future self. Every relationship a person might one day have is a reason to write something down today.
