MessageFuture

Digital time capsule and legacy app

Write it today. They open it on the day.

Messages, photos, videos and voice notes for the people you love, delivered on a date you set or when the moment comes. And an AI Twin they can talk to any time.

How it works

Write it today. Choose when. It arrives on the day.

  1. A message called Happy 18th birthday, Soph, with a video David recorded for his daughter

    1. Write it

Words, a photo, a voice note or a video. David recorded one for Sophie's 18th birthday.

  2. Choosing when a message arrives: Scheduled or Timeless, with quick picks for next week, 1 year and 5 years

    2. Choose when

A date years ahead, or no date at all: you release it when the moment comes, with a Guardian as your backup.

  3. Emma's message Race morning, opened on a phone, with a photo of the two of them

    3. It arrives

We email it on the day. They open it, and can share it with family if you let them.

A Twin that keeps growing

On paid plans, add memories for moments nobody can put a date on. When someone reaches that moment in a chat, your Twin brings the right one up.

  1. Adding a video memory called If you ever lose your job to the Dad Twin, with when it should come up

    1. Add a memory

A video, a voice note or a few words, and the moment it is for.

  2. 2. It comes up in the chat

When Oliver tells Dad's Twin he lost his job, the Twin brings up the video his dad made for that day.

  3. The voice clone screen with the consent statement to read aloud and the record button

    3. A cloned voice

On paid plans, read a short consent statement and your Twin can reply out loud, in a voice close to your own.

Moments That Define Us

Ways to use MessageFuture, and the feature behind each one. If a calendar already knows the date, schedule it. If it does not, you release it when the moment comes, with a Guardian as your backup.

The night before the race

Record the fear while it is still real. It comes back the day after you finish, and you can generate a public link to put it on social media, so people see how that morning actually felt.

Instant emotional support

Two in the morning, exam tomorrow

The hour you start doubting yourself, and nobody is awake to call. Your parent's or your tutor's Twin answers, and the encouragement comes from someone familiar.

Days away

Surgery on Thursday

If life takes an unexpected turn, the people you love still need holding up. Write it now and add Guardians you trust as your backup, so it reaches them even if you cannot send it yourself.

First day at the new job

A note from the person who took the risk, timed for the week the doubt tends to arrive.

You decide when

The day the debt hits zero

No calendar can predict that date, so you keep it Timeless until the morning it happens. Then share the link, and let people see what the years before it actually took.

Open ended

Before deployment

Before you leave, create the message for the people at home. Add more than one Guardian, choose whether they can read it or only trigger delivery, and if life takes an unexpected turn, they release it.

4 or 5 years

Her graduation day

She is fourteen now, and nobody can name the date. Plenty take five years. You release it on the day, or her mother does, if you named her as Guardian.

One year sober

Day one, talking to the day you might forget what day one cost.

Your children are in another country and the time difference eats bedtime. Your Twin is there at their hour, even while you are asleep.

The coach who retired

The encouragement, not the training plan. Athletes still hear how you talked them through the bad days.

Whenever the day comes

A grandchild not yet born

Write a Timeless message now for a child who does not exist yet, and name your daughter as Guardian, so it still reaches them on the day if you cannot release it yourself. Share your Twin with her too, and she can hand it on to her own son in time.

Across generations

Your Twin, two generations down

The reassurance and the stories, kept available to grandchildren who may never get to meet you.

Timeless
No date on it

The morning she gets married

Nobody can schedule a wedding fifteen years out, so nobody has to. It waits until the day arrives.

Eighteen

First steps recorded today, opened the year they become an adult. A memory they were too young to keep.

Scheduled
One a year

Every birthday until eighteen

One message per birthday, each on a date nobody has to guess at, all set up in a single sitting.

The family recipe

Not sent on a date. Released when your granddaughter asks the Twin how you actually made it.

A voice they will recognise

A cloned voice built from a few short samples. Not identical to the original, but familiar. They know who is speaking.

The drawer nobody can schedule

Recordings filed against a divorce, a job loss, a first child, surfaced when that subject is the one being raised.

GuardianGuardian delegation
Across decades

A Guardian can appoint a Guardian

Responsibility passes on rather than lapsing, and a recipient who did not exist when you wrote it can still be added.

Your call, at the time of writing

Public links, only with your permission

A recipient can generate a public link only if you allowed it when you created the message. Leave that off and no link can be minted, and either of you can revoke one later.

Frequently Asked Questions

Short answers to what people ask most.

MessageFuture lets you write, record or film a message today and have it arrive later: on a date you choose, or when the moment comes. You can also write to your future self, and build an AI Twin your family can talk to.

A message to yourself, delivered on a date you choose: after your exams, a year into a new job, on your 30th birthday. We email it to you on that day, so you can read what you were thinking back then.

It does what a digital legacy app does, with a Guardian who can release your messages if you cannot. But most people use it while they are very much here: a birthday five years out, a graduation, a message to their future self.

Record a Timeless message and add a Guardian. You release it when the moment comes, and if you cannot, your Guardian does. The Free plan sends text messages; video, voice and photos need a paid plan.

A message with no delivery date. You release it when the moment comes, such as a wedding or the birth of a grandchild, and a Guardian you chose releases it if you cannot. It is kept for 20 years by default.

A Guardian is someone you trust to stand behind a message. On a Timeless message they release it if you cannot, and on any message you can let them add a new contact if the recipient's email changes. Guardians will get periodic reminders of what they are looking after.

You can add more than one Guardian to a message, and any of them can act. You can also let a Guardian hand the role to someone else, so it passes on rather than lapsing.

Two links on your Home screen. One invites someone you love to connect with you, with no account needed. The other asks someone to be your Guardian. Share either one in any chat app or by email.

An AI Twin replies in your style, from the answers, videos, voice notes and words you add to it. The people you choose can chat with it any time. On paid plans it can also reply in a cloned voice, close to your own.

On a paid plan, you read a short consent statement aloud in the app and record a few samples. Your Twin can then reply out loud in a cloned voice, close to your own. Text replies stay available any time.

Videos, voice notes or written memories you add to your Twin for moments nobody can schedule, like losing a job. When someone reaches that moment in a chat, the Twin brings up the memory and it plays right there. You can lock a memory behind questions only they can answer. Memories are part of the paid plans.

Yes. When you create it, you set its values and can list topics it should avoid.

Start free with 10 credits, no card needed. Standard is $4.99 a month (50 credits), Pro $9.99 (150 credits) and Pro Max $29.99 (600 credits). Free messages are text only; photos, video and voice need a paid plan.

By the length of the recording, charged once when you finish the message. Audio costs 5 credits for up to 5 minutes, then 1 credit a minute. Video costs 10 credits for up to 2 minutes, then 2 credits a minute.

Up to 5 years on the Free plan and up to 30 years on paid plans. Timeless messages are kept for 20 years by default on every plan.

Yes, right up until it is delivered: the words, the date or the recipients. If an edit adds cost, such as a video, you pay only the difference.

No. Receiving a message is always free. You sign in so it reaches the right person. Credits are only used by people creating messages, or chatting with a Twin shared with them.

Messages are encrypted with AES-256 while stored and travel over encrypted connections. We never sell your data, and your Twin is shared only with the people you choose.

Email has worked for over 50 years and is an open standard, not one company's product. We will add new ways to deliver as they matter, and we convert stored recordings if today's formats stop playing.

No. A message is your exact words on a set day. A Twin is for everyday conversation and advice in between.
